THE GARDENER’S WORKSHOP

Saturday 8 August 2026
1.30pm - 3.30pm
Engine Room, Canberra Glassworks
Tickets $220 | Adults only, 16+

Join us for a practical fused glass workshop at Canberra Glassworks, led by Canberra Contemporary exhibiting artist Tamara Henderson and teaching assistants Halle Warrender and Phoebe Staats.

This workshop offers a rare and exciting opportunity to create and take home your own unique glass hanging pendant, inspired by artist Henderson’s current exhibition The Gardener’s Bar at Canberra Contemporary. This practical workshop is inspired by Henderson’s aesthetic language and interest in the form, structure and colour of flowers. You’ll work alongside the artist to learn cutting and composition techniques, as well as the technicalities of kiln forming.

Presented at Canberra Glassworks, this workshop invites participants to discover Henderson’s process in the very place her new work was developed and produced.

10% discount is offered for Canberra Contemporary members, email us for the code.
