A diverse bunch of artists, their work features abstract and non-abstract painting, crafty techniques, metal sculpture, site-specific interventions, domestic materials and photographicscreen-prints. Despite these diverse materials and interests, there are some common threads tying this exciting show together-besides, of course, that all the works are cutting-edge contemporary art by fantastic local emerging artists. Much of the art in Blaze 6 is about the spaces we inhabit; domestic spaces, virtual spaces, rooms, galleries, streets, bodies.
