LEAH BULLEN

6pm FRIDAY 19th OCTOBER 2012 - SATURDAY 24th NOVEMBER 2012

CCAS Gorman

The feeling of déjà vu is at once exhilarating and frustrating. It is that uncanny sense of familiarity combined with not knowing where or when you have ex-perienced this moment or sensation before. Standing in front of Leah Bullen’s works induces this same effect; the overwhelming sense of knowing but really having no idea. Bullen has produced this through her practice of painting from photographs and other source material from the media such as newspapers and television broadcasts.
