SLOW TIME

Simon Scheuerle

27 August - 2 October 2010 | CCAS Gorman

The sculptor, Monsieur Choux, always left the same way. Accompanied by the bogeyman, he assembled fishy literalists who established a plan that occasionally involved RizLa+ and a two-headed Irishman called Red. This was just a part of how the days went.

On returning, Choux would energise his fish tank ensemble and begin to squeeze. The resultant neuroshock salved his postulations and, falling like some luminescent DNA, the creature gave it up for love. In his own way, the sculptor recognised the fallow culture field and rejected hackneyed cyberpuns in favour of a collection of material poetry. Choux was a mixer. There was nothing special there (Excerpt from exhibition text by Paul Hay, 2010)
